A: Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance)

Part A covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care services.

B: Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)

It requires a monthly premium of $185 per month for Part B, which is typically deducted from your Social Security benefits.

C: Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans)

Also known as Medicare Advantage, Part C plans are offered by private companies approved by Medicare. Most plans are Available for Zero dollars monthly premium and all Part C plans are required to have a Maximum limit.

These plans provide all Part A and Part B benefits, and often include additional benefits like vision, dental, and prescription drug coverage.
D: Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)

Part D provides prescription drug coverage through private insurance companies approved by Medicare.

It helps cover the cost of prescription drugs and may lower your prescription drug costs and protect against higher costs in the future.

Initial Enrollment Period (IEP):

Most people are first eligible to enroll in Medicare during their Initial Enrollment Period (IEP), which starts three months before the month you turn 65, includes the month you turn 65, and ends three months after the month you turn 65.

If you're eligible due to a disability, you can enroll in Medicare during a similar IEP based on your disability date.

Enrollment Options:

Automatic Enrollment: If you're already receiving Social Security or Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) benefits when you turn 65, you'll be automatically enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B starting the first day of the month you turn 65.

You should get your Medicare card from Social Security 2 to 3 months before your 65th birthday.
